Laraway Financial Advisors Vice President and Partner Chris Wayne honored with Boy Scouts of America Central Minnesota Council District Award of Merit. This award recognizes professional Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at a district level. Chris has been a lifelong active member of Boy Scouts of American since growing up in River Falls, Wisconsin and through his volunteerism seeks to “lead by example.” Wayne is currently District Chair and has had many past positions including Boy Scout, Cubmaster, Pack Committee Chair, Unit Committee Chair, Eagle Scout and Recruiter for Eagle Alumni Association of the Central Minnesota Council. Chris has two boys with wife Katie. As a family they enjoy nature through camping and fishing near Luck, Wisconsin.June 2018 – Nick Germscheid, a Bethel University college student, interned at Laraway Financial Advisors during the summer. Nick spent his time with advisors and staff helping and learning about stock analytics, investments, workflows and processes. He shared his technology skills, marketing and social media expertise with the firm. With an office comprised of multiple generations, he added a Generation Z perspective. The crew here is thankful Nick chose our firm to intern. Steve Laraway stated, “We had worked with funds in the past and saw the efficiency of their usage and wanted something like that for our organization. Having a corporate advised fund has exceeded our expectations. Our corporate advised fund allows us to centralize our charitable giving and we can make contributions to the fund whenever we want. We formed an internal charitable committee to make granting decisions which been great for our team. The Sheridan Story works to combat hunger in our community by providing food for students to take home each weekend of the school year.
