Glenice Vipond

Glenice serves her clients from the Vipond Financial Services office in Alexandria. She works primarily with corporate clients and their individual 401(k) plans, and also assists individuals with long-term care and long-term disability products and consultation.

For 21 years Glenice served her clients in banking and trust services, initially with First American Bank in Minneapolis, subsequently moving to Bremer Bank in Alexandria for 18 years. She opened her own investment business in 1990 and became associated with Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. since 2001, largely because of her friendship with Steve Laraway. She entered into an affiliated partnership with Laraway Financial Advisors in 2003.

A congenial, conversational person, Glenice enjoys learning about her clients’ individual stories and is always happy to become part of them through relationship building and her consultative services. In fact, if Glenice could construct a “dream job,” it would be one of public relations specialist, cultivating and maintaining close, beneficial relationships with influential people (journalists, bloggers, opinion leaders, etc.) through special events.

Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. is not affiliated with Vipond Financial Services.

Glenice’s interests include family, recreation, and health. She and her husband Bob enjoy traveling throughout the United States, especially west to Aberdeen, South Dakota, to visit their only child Ryan, his wife and the four grandchildren. The couple takes their RV on camping trips, and finds state parks and local points of interest to hike.

They do plenty of walking and go to the gym in order to maintain their health as well. Glenice and Bob have taken a real interest in eating healthier, and when they’re with the grandchildren, the couple concentrates on physical activities. Currently they’re introducing the kids to the finer points of golf. They also enjoy boating and fishing in the Alexandria lakes area. “We’re spoiled with our lakes,” says Glenice, who grew up in beautiful Glenwood and moved to Alexandria in the 10th grade.

Something no one knows about Glenice … Bob fell in love with her “at first sight,” when she was 16 years old and “the new girl” at the high school.
